Born Shoes

Born shoes is the brand known for its line of casual shoes, sandals, and boots for men and women. The brand is known for the unique construction that identifies it from other popular shoe manufacturers.

Those who wear Born shoes can easily recognize the quality of the material and the construction of the footwear, as well as the artistry, which is not sacrificed during the construction. Comfort is also another aspect that is given sufficient attention by the manufacturer of Born shoes.

What makes Born shoes unique?

Raves about Born shoes include good feedback about the Opanka construction of Born shoes. This elegant and high-quality hand sewing technique involves the sewing of the upper layer, the sock lining and the outsole in one sewing process. This technique enhances the flexibility and the cushioning of the shoes, thus, leading to more comfort for the wearer.

Born Shoes are also made unique through the use of a special cushioning foam that increases comfort and lessens the tendency of the shoes to smell by preventing the build up of heat and moisture when wearing the shoes.

What are the types of Born shoes in the market?

With the wide variety of Born shoes from the men and women’s collection, there is a Born shoe for each personality. Born shoes are divided into tow catalogues — the Winter Collection and the Summer Collection.

For women, they may choose from the following Born Shoes designs – each with its own unique character but still possessing the Born Shoe Opanka construction technique. These are Elizabeth, Rue, Moreen, Caroline, Lusaka, Bombe, Braid and Grenadine.

Who is the person behind the Born shoes creations?

The president of the company and its creative director is Thomas E. McClaskie.

Where can one order Born shoes?

In addition to the popular retail shops, Born Shoes may now also be purchased through the website. This feature has just been added close to the end of 2008. Customers also have the option of adding items to their wish list in their Born Shoes account.

Are there other models of Born shoes that mare not included in the catalogue?

Born Shoes changes its catalogues from time to time. During this transition, shoes items are dropped from the catalogue. These discontinued items may still be available from other online stores. In fact, there are some online retail shops that offer huge discounts when you purchase discontinued models of Born Shoes.

I have been looking for “Val” sandals in cream color or bone. I have black, brown and navy and they are by far my favorite shoe. Please let me know if you know of any place I can replace my bone color. Thanks

Dear Kim–

I just bought a pair of one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve found in years, and of all places, I found my Born shoes in Ross for Less, for only $35.99! If they had the exact same design in my size in other colors, I would have bought a pair of each of them because they are so incredibly comfortable!

Like you, girlfriend, I also had three back surgeries. Unfortunately, all three of my back surgeries FAILED, so I have been unable to work for the past 13 yrs.! I would never recommend back surgery to anyone: it’s an easy way for a surgeon to make lots of money! As a result of these failed surgeries, I have arthritis in my spine, in both hips, as well as in my right knee. The limp I have places constant pressure on all those areas. I empathize with your pain, if you are suffering like I have all these years!

I hope you can luck out and find some Born shoes in your size, also on sale, before someone else snaps them up!

God Bless!

i worked for 22 years at the post office, so i do kno9w what you mean. for years i wore nothing on my feet to work except dansko clogs. then when we moved to a new facility, the floors were bare concrete. then i moved into mbts–masai barefoot technology. pretty pricey, but i could tell the difference right away. no more foot pain. they take a little getting used to, but look into them.
